Officially, we bid goodbye to our dearest D80 this week.
Sold to a wonderful guy who goes around the region taking photos and documentary to raise funds for less privileged children. http://flickr.com/photos/ramdiboy
Well, at least we know our D80 will continue to serve its purpose with a great new meaning. For the D80 that has gone through thick and thins with us, here’s a compilation of some of the works taken with it.
To start off the 1st post on this site, I’ll give a brief intro to how we ended up playing with cameras. We were first introduced to photography by our friend (which bear an almost identical name to me). Deeply poisoned by him, ZY set out to purchase his first DSLR in mid 2007.
We did whatever a beginner would do. Shooting objects, flowers, stones, whatever you can think of (seriously), even a crack on the pavement of Bontanic Gardens would amaze us. Slowly, he found pleasure in taking portraits more than anything.
Being the lovely girlfriend (as I always am), I volunteered myself to model for him. Thanks to him, I ended up all chao tar (burnt) after the first shoot. We spent many happy and angry moments looking around for places and shooting together. Then we would normally share our work on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/zytl), however, we feel that a blog might provide a different platform for us to share our experience and thoughts with all our friends and fellow photographers.
Feel free to leave comments and critics, and pop by whenever you think of us!
